This frozen yogurt is delicious, healthy and incredibly easy to make. You will need just four ingredients (frozen strawberries, yogurt, syrup and lemon/lime juice), throw them together in a blender or food processor and mix until creamy. This doesn’t even take 5 minutes, rather 2. Fresh strawberries can be used instead of frozen ones, however they must be frozen before processed. Btw, I used a small food processor.
I found similar recipes for quick and easy frozen yoghurts on the web that date back many years. But I stumbled over this 5-Minutes Frozen Yogurt recipe on Just a Tastes pinterest page. It’s just too good not to share ;-) I adapted it and used lime juice instead of lemon juice (I simply like it better) and added a little more sweetener. I tried the recipe with honey but due to the cold strawberries, the honey cristallized and didn’t distribute evenly. I suggest using syrup that doesn’t crystallize easily and turn grainy in cold temperatures. Agave nectar, maple syrup or corn syrup are good choices.
Serve the frozen yogurt immediately or store it in the freezer (in an airtight container). If you want the frozen yogurt to be a bit more solid like in the picture above or below, freeze it for at least 2 hours. In the first 2 hours of freezing, the consistency doesn’t change much. It’s even better to freeze it overnight, just remove it from the fridge 10 to 15 minutes before you want to eat it.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (235 g) frozen strawberries
- 2 tablespoons syrup like agave nectar (see note)
- 1/4 cup (60 g) plain yogurt
- 1 ½ tablespoons fresh lime juice (about ½ lime)
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients in a food processor or blender and mix until smooth, about 2 minutes. Fresh strawberries can be used instead of frozen ones, however they must be frozen before processed.

Notes
You can use whatever syrup you like. However, I recommend syrup that doesn’t crystallize easily and turn grainy in cold temperatures (honey does). Agave nectar, maple syrup, golden syrup, or corn syrup are good choices.
