Kaya (coconut jam) is very popular in Southeast Asia, especially in Malaysia and Singapore. I came across this dreamy coconut spread in a Ya Kun Kaya Toast restaurant in Singapore, when, totally touristy, ordering a butter-kaya toast for breakfast.
